myopia

What I see...
over the years
focus on my family
my parents & siblings
classmates, friends,
then on my husband
then on my boys
then on my partner
and studying and working
keeping up with my art

now don't want
to see the news
prefer to gaze
at mountains & trees
into waters deep
up at the sky
straight ahead
to where I'm going
where am I going
just right here
not traveling more
my smaller world
full yet space filled
ahead is what
here and now
growing in one place
it's all here now.
